Dark Side of the Moon is a heritage project run by Scarabeus Aerial Theatre in partnership with the Science Museum, the Women’s Library at the LSE and Kingston university exploring why we know so little about women astronauts and why they are hardly mentioned in the history of space travel. The project is taking place at Parliament Hill School in Camden with 30 students in Y7 and Y8 between February and June 2015.

During the project, students will explore the history of space travel from a female perspective, learn about the science of space flight, speak to women who have travelled into space, and create an aerial theatre performance inspired by the story of women in space.

On this website, you can read more about the project as it unfolds, find out more about the history of women in space, and download learning resources for further study.
